Position Summary

The HR Compliance Analyst is a critical partner to the Human Resources team in ensuring compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulatory and legal standards. This role is responsible for overseeing background checks and job postings to ensure compliance in those activities, as well as supporting broader compliance initiatives, as needed. Individuals who are comfortable working independently, who possess strong attention to detail, and who thrive from identifying efficiencies and developing process improvements are encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Facilitate the job posting workflow to ensure compliance with pay transparency and equal opportunity requirements, as well as other federal contractor recruiting obligations.
  • Oversee the firm's U.S. background checks including the initiation, review and communication associated with the screenings.
  • Monitor employment and labor laws and summarize the requirements to business partners.
  • Conduct audits of processes, systems and related data to ensure compliance and to implement best practices in recruiting, onboarding, and other steps of the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with the learning and development team to conduct anti-harassment and other compliance trainings and to drive employee completions of required courses.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Support the management of employee handbooks by updating content to include appropriate policies and topics and administering an annual employee acknowledgement process.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:



  • The ideal candidate must have an associate's degree.
  • The ideal candidate must have minimum of one year of directly relevant experience in HR, compliance, legal support, internal audit, or a related role.
  • The ideal candidate must have the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of their work.
  • Must have strong critical thinking skills to identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Must possess written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas, feedback, and information. Attention to detail is key, with proficiency in proofreading and editing content for accuracy, clarity, and tone.
  • Must be able to manage, execute, and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of discretion and an understanding of the need to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Must have the ability to adopt a culture of continuous improvement within a growing HR team.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:



  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience working in a professional services environment.


LOCATION:

This hybrid position is based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, Wisconsin (aka Milwaukee office). Local HR team members come into the office once or twice a week on pre-designated days for in-person connection and collaboration.

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $74,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
