Reporting into the Director, Strategic Account Services, the Associate Principal, Clinical Strategic Account Services will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Clinical Solutions by leading strategic initiatives, managing strategic client relationships, and guiding cross-functional teams. This position requires a combination of strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and technical acumen to help our clients optimize their processes while supporting the company's growth objectives.

To be qualified for this position you:

  • 7+ years in an account management role.
  • BA, BS, or RN in any field or relevant job-related experience with demonstrated results.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the clinical/data acquisition landscape of health plans and inter-plan operations.
  • Have led strategy to implementation and have a proven ability to define a clear vision and roadmap that is challenging, but achievable and motivating to our clients and associates.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Understand financial acumen to drive profitable growth.
  • Ability to build trust and approach problems from a curious, ready-to-learn perspective.
  • Proven track record in strong change management with the ability to lead cross functional teams effectively through ambiguity.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem-solving environment.
  • Demonstrate love for technology and keeping up with the rapid advances.
  • Strong understanding of potential clinical use cases (Quality/HEDIS, Risk Adjustment, Population Health and Care Management, Utilization Management, and Claims Adjudication).
  • Display thorough understanding of clinical data standards (e.g., Hl7v2, C-CDA, FHIR), their challenges, as well as API processing.
  • Have a High Say / Do ratio.
  • Believe in integrity and ethics.

You will set yourself apart with:

  • Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) that has business operations expertise in the health plan/payer market
  • Strong understanding of clinical standards such as HL7 or FHIR
  • Proven track record in account management and experience working with C-Suite Executives

You will be:

  • Overseeing a portfolio of high-value client accounts to establish and maintain strong operational partnerships.
  • Advising and guiding clients and partners on software solutions, integration concepts, and delivery techniques.
  • Building out clinical success function and ROI stories to support revenue retention in close collaboration with the sales, product, and finance teams
  • Engaging with customers to identify clinical case study opportunities that demonstrate ROI
  • Promoting goodwill and long-term retention by driving operational excellence and offering tailored solutions.
  • Serving as the primary operational escalation point for complex workflow challenges, driving resolution and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Acting as a thought leader in operational processes, guiding clients through improvements that align with their business objectives.
  • Designing and implementing comprehensive Operational Success Plans that align with the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Conducting detailed business reviews, focusing on KPI evaluations, operational trends, and actionable recommendations to address client pain points.
  • Building thought leadership within operational domains through active participation in industry discussions and advisory boards.
  • Working with product teams to build compelling vision statements, value-driven strategies, and position Availity as a differentiator
  • Anticipating the key decisions and change management needed to make progress, craft governance frameworks, and create the organizational alignment and momentum towards a vision
  • Maintaining a high-level understanding of platform capabilities to advise and inspire teams and customers
  • Seeking out and acting on feedback from clients
  • Creating dashboards per client on utilization, penetration of products, pursuit plans, and win strategies
  • Driving top-line revenue growth by maturing clinical client engagement in close collaboration with the product and sales team
  • Synthesizing insights from account teams, driving thought leadership, and developing recommended actions that will directly impact the growth of our company
