Job Description:

Are you ready to lead and drive excellence in manufacturing operations? We're seeking a dynamic Sr. Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day functions of our plant, ensuring the seamless production of Outdoor Power Equipment.

In this critical leadership role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across Operations, Quality, Safety, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, CI, Supply Chain, HR, and Finance to optimize performance and efficiency. You will be accountable for all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, and top-tier quality standards.

THE DAY TO DAY...

  • Create and communicate a clear vision for the future to inspire and drive the plant to achieve business goals and objectives. Develop strategies for growth, set stretch but achievable targets and monitor performance to target for each functional area

  • Accountable for allocating and planning resources to ensure key metrics are met: safety, quality, delivery, productivity, budget/profitability, and human capital

  • Develop and implement appropriate operational, continuous improvement and human capital strategies aligning with the corporate goals

  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the plant with visual management, problem solving, new product development launches, capital projects, control plans, quality plan, and continuous improvement plan

  • Ensure a safe workplace, adhering to regulations and AriensCo standards

  • Provide clear and concise direction, goals, and strategies to team members

  • Develop direct reports and others by creating an environment that both develops and affords opportunities to employees, inspires collaboration, and engages the team to contribute in meaningful ways

  • Build effective teams that creates strong morale and recognize wins and successes, fosters open dialogue; empowers others to be decision-makers; defines success in terms of the whole team; and influence with authority when needed

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's tools, processes, and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge

THE QUALIFICATIONS...

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field is required; Master's degree in Business or Engineering preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years of plant operations experience in leadership roles

  • Minimum of 7 years of Plant Management experience, with a proven track recovered of driving transformation through analytics is required

  • Able to lead Continuous Improvement initiatives, inclusive of root cause analysis, and basic practical problem solving (8D, A3). Embodies a mindset focused on continuous improvement, leveraging analytics to drive transformational results

  • Demonstrated coaching successes and knowledge of leadership development

  • Strong project management experience

  • Excellent communication skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical insights to diverse audiences

  • Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
