We are seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and creative Director, Editorial to join the FOX & Friends team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the editorial strategy for the entire FOX & Friends franchise. We are looking for a natural leader, a proven go-getter, and someone who can excel under the fast-paced demands of morning programming. This position requires excellent editorial judgment, breaking news experience, and the ability to create a compelling and cohesive content strategy.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Play a key role in development and implementation of an overarching editorial strategy for the FOX & Friends franchise, ensuring alignment between live programming and future productions.

• Participate in the development of the show, ensuring consistency with the franchise's strategic goals.

• Facilitate effective communication with the show hosts and production teams when needed to ensure a unified editorial vision.

• Coordinate with talent, producers, bookers, and the control room during breaking news, aligning immediate coverage opportunities with long-term strategic objectives.

• Identify and recognize content with high potential for compelling television that aligns with FOX & Friends' editorial strategy.

• Participate in daily team meetings to develop show content that supports the broader goals of morning programming.

• Mentor and develop show staff, including Line Producers, Writers, Bookers, APs, and PAs, fostering a team that understands and executes the team's editorial strategy.

• Participate in weekly ratings analysis in support of driving further success for morning programming.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience.

• 7-10+ years of programming experience

• Excellent organizational and managerial skills, with the ability to create an environment that fosters teamwork and strategic alignment.

• Demonstrated experience with on-air talent.

• Decisive and skilled management of a control room.

• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines.

• Exceptional editorial and writing skills.

• Ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television that align with the franchise's strategy.

• Proven track record of leadership and newscast ratings growth.

• Strong passion for and knowledge of current events, news, and politics.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $140,000.00-192,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $116,600.00-160,000.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
