Job Summary: As Director, Exercise Support, you will be responsible for all Pre, Execution, and Post event support and coordination for customer Large Force Employment (LFE) exercises that utilize Cubic training solutions. LFE events typically follow the Joint Exercise Planning Cycle for US led Joint and Coalition participants. Detailed coordination across Cubic business functions (Security, Contracts, Sub-K, Legal, Travel, Engineering, Business Development, and Program Management Organization) will be essential to ensuring the correct representation and support is delivered for maximum customer use and satisfaction with Cubic's Advanced Training Environment infrastructure (to include LVC and SPEAR) in concert with partner and GFE components.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure coordination and integration of system elements and interface requirements.

Conceptualize, develop, and analyze and execute engineering designs, specifications and test plans for systems and equipment based on customer/contract requirements.

Facilitate Internal, partner, and customer technical interchange meetings to provide the correct Cubic and vendor mix of services, hardware, and software to support Customer Exercise objectives.

Lead RFP / Task Order responses for Exercise support in accordance with established Contract vehicles as directed by the Customer.

Monitor exercise project status and system performance.

Ensure compliance with contractual requirements for all engineering and exercise services tasks.

Support the development of system architectures that relate requirements and interfaces so that effectiveness of system design concept is clearly communicated to customer. Perform system requirement analysis and reviews system and subsystem design and interface specifications.

Maintain liaison with customer, subcontractor and vendor representatives.

Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

Participate in both internal and external design reviews, technical meetings.

Lead capture efforts as required, to include coordination with internal technical, contracts, legal, cost estimation, graphics members of the proposal team, in addition to sub-contractor proposal teams.

Travel local, national and international up to 60% based on Customer Exercise schedule and Pre-exercise coordination.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Four-year college degree in a related technical field, plus a minimum of five years of related experience, or the combined equivalent of education and experience.

Prior experience as an Operator, Planner, or Evaluator for Tactical and Operational level Service and Joint Large Force Employment exercises. Coalition exercise experience is a plus.

Must be a US citizen, eligible for security clearance.

Must have a strong hardware and software background, with an emphasis on system architecture.

Preferred experience with Shipley proposal processes and prior experience leading capture efforts for Large Lead System Integrators

Prior experience as a Program Manager for Large US Department of Defense Lead System Integrators

Ability to travel for meetings, briefings, demonstrations, and integration/test activities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to lead engineering teams to solve complex and difficult system design and engineering problems.
