Overview
The Contract Administrator is responsible for securing new third-party payer contracts and the ongoing management of same for Tactile Medical. This position will research potential payer opportunities including monitoring claims by payers, field sales input and other sources. Identify appropriate points of contact at payer targets and sell to the payer the importance and member benefits of contracting with Tactile. The Contract Administrator will negotiate terms and pricing in keeping with company parameters and goals. All duties will be performed while adhering to HIPAA requirements.
Responsibilities
- Secure new third-party payer contracts
- Manage and maintain existing third-party contracts
- Interpret new and existing contract terms and payer requirements; proactively inform stakeholders
- Facilitate and/or manage internal implementations of system and/or process changes associated with contract stipulations, when necessary
- Partner with contracted payers to resolve contract issues
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing
- Consistent follow up and follow through on contracting projects
- Negotiate and finalize individual patient Letters of Agreement, out-of-network file reviews and partner with other areas on resolution of systemic contract, claims and/or processing issues with payers
- Serve as subject matter expert for all departments ensuring all contract obligations are followed and understood
Qualifications
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience in third-party payer reimbursement (either in DME or insurance company)
Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of DME reimbursement including contract negotiations and administration claims processing, various plan types and payment models
- Must be a detail oriented, highly self-motivated, results-driven team player
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Proven problem-solving, critical thinking and negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships and maintain rapport cross-functionally and with external customers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and ethics, able to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
$60,300 - $84,525
