Overview
The National Sales Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering and assessing sales training including live classroom sessions, online learning courses, and in-field training supports for sales personnel at all levels from Associates to Managers. Build and maintain a persuasive and professional rapport with all partners and stakeholders to move initiatives forward to meet deadline and budget imperatives. Works with small to very large training classes (50+ attendees).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, conduct and/or substantially assist in the production of live trainings
- Assist in developing new online sales training courses and related modules using various subject matter experts
- Consult with and provide training solutions to other trainers and managers when issues arise; be able to interpret employment assessment tests and provide guidance on best approaches specific to individual trainees
- Assist in maintaining and revising online sales courses, annually or as needed, to stay current with approved policies and procedures routed through Grand Avenue software
- Track and monitor the learning pathways and course completions of all sales reps in the field; provide regular updates to assigned trainers and managers
- Event Management to include pre-event planning and event-days responsibilities
- Hotel contract details/room arrangements to support the attendee/presenter experience
- Manage food and beverage needs including dietary restrictions, catering, scheduling, etc
- Manage attendee registration from end-to-end
- Proof of completions after each live event; routing assessment information to appropriate parties
- Logistics for refinement training and related events in conjunction with sales managers/field trainers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years' experience and demonstrated expertise in all facets of training including strategic direction, content creation, classroom and synchronous/asynchronous online delivery methods, assessment methodologies, etc
- 3+ years' experience and demonstrated expertise in facilitation versus lecture, developing active learning activities including pair/triad role plays to significantly improve learning retention and long-term application
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Training and Development or Educational Leadership
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel (filters, pivot tables, graphing) and PowerPoint (graphics, animations)
- Familiar with several online learning management systems and courseware platforms, including Brainshark and Camtasia or similar
- Knowledge of Bloom's Taxonomy and other models of learning assessment
- Ability in influence large groups of people to move in a consistent direction over a long period of time
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, persuasive) across all levels of the organization and external audiences including vendors, suppliers, hotel staff, and those for whom English is not a native language
Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
$91,800 - $128,520
