PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Sr. Executive Assistant to the CEO, Chief Merchandising Officer, and VP, Strategic Initiatives will provide both administrative and strategic support to key members of Guitar Center's executive leadership team. This position combines traditional executive support with a more strategic role focused on cross-functional coordination, executive communications, and strategic initiative planning & execution. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a proactive and critical-thinking mindset, and the ability to manage complex projects and communications with precision and discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES



  • Executive Administrative Support: Serve as the primary administrative assistant for the CEO, Chief Merchandising Officer, and VP, Strategic Initiatives. Responsibilities include calendar management, meeting scheduling, email management, internal & external communications support, travel arrangements, and other logistics support.


  • Executive Coordination: Serve as the executive liaison, ensuring effective communication and follow-through. If requested, attend executive meetings, capture action items, and help leadership oversee their execution across departments. Support the preparation of meeting materials as needed (quarterly Board Meetings, Townhall Presentations, etc.). Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support seamless communication and collaboration.


  • Strategic Initiative Support: Assist in organizing strategic initiatives and special projects, ensuring key milestones are achieved while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment. Help monitor project status, identify risks and overall challenges, and support scheduling bi-weekly OKR meetings to drive timely progress.


  • Confidentiality and Trust: Handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to foster trust and collaboration.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES



  • Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Business, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, or related field.


  • 5 years of relevant work experience (in addition to a degree or years of previous experience).


  • 3 years of experience providing administrative assistance to an executive or senior leader.


  • 2 years of experience presenting information (and responding to questions from) groups of managers, vendors, customers, and the general public.


  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.


  • Ability to anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative.


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting professional correspondence.


  • Skilled proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint).

Pay Rate:$90,000- $100,000/yr depending on background and experience.
