Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Liaison between Vendor Management Office (VMO) and a Vice President on the CIO Staff

  • Participate in demand planning for their department's external IT professional services sourcing needs
  • Guide and coordinate activities between VMO and other teams to select vendor(s) to purchase IT Professional Services: contract negotiation, sign, and Purchase Order release
  • Conduct weekly to twice monthly briefing meetings with assigned CIO Staff member to review sourcing work in progress and discuss and resolve any open actions or issues of CIO staff member's department

Performing relationship management and handling escalations with assigned major IT professional services vendors including both project milestone-based SOW and multi-year Managed Services engagements

  • Conducting weekly account synch meetings with multi-year Managed Services vendors on topics ranging from issues and escalations, contracts in negotiation, adjustments to scope of vendor responsibilities
  • working with vendor on developing content for Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Addressing issues arising from missed KPIs, SLAs, or project milestones that are escalated to VMO from HPE project managers, program managers, and operations account leads

Coordinating scope definition and targets (contractual term and commercial) for Global Procurement negotiations.

  • Responsible for coordinating across one or more requesters scope and requirements definition, ensuring comprehensiveness and ability to hold vendor accountable. Communicating to Global Procurement and validating contractual terms and conditions align post-negotiation before contract signature routing.
  • Validating budgetary constraints and aligning commercial targets for Global Procurement negotiations.
  • Negotiating some SOWs directly with the vendor instead of routing to Global Procurement based on VMO ways of working criteria.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of related experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Supplier relationship management
  • Strong communication skills and experience in speaking to corporate executives
  • Experience with managing large Managed Services contracts (Applications, Infrastructure, Network and/or Service Desk): transition, SLA, global operating models, governance, Major Incident Management, Escalation Management
  • Experience writing and reviewing SOWs and labor contracts
  • Knowledge of industry best practice for IT professional services pricing models, onsite/offshore/nearshore delivery models, rate cards

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $115,500.00 - $266,000.00
