As a Regional HR Business Partner, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our employees and management teams across multiple locations. The HRBP works closely with management and employees to identify, evaluate, and resolve employee issues and performance issues, drive HR initiates and align with Regional HR teams to support and enhance HR functions.

Responsibilities

Cultivating Strong Stakeholder Relationships
    Develop and Foster Productive Relationships: Cultivate and nurture strong connections with stakeholders to drive alignment and mutual success enthusiastically.
  • Facilitate Two-Way Communication: Ensure consistent and meaningful communication between Campus Presidents, offsite Leadership, and Home Office.
  • Consult and Resolve Issues: Actively engage with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and resolve employee issues, hotline call reports, and work performance concerns.
Driving Human Capital Excellence
  • Support and Execute HR Programs: Enthusiastically implement and manage human capital programs, services, and solutions that align seamlessly with stakeholder objectives.
  • Guide Leaders and Drive Solutions: Proactively identify issues, guide leaders, and drive effective solutions to enhance organizational performance.
  • Strategic HR Guidance: Provide strategic HR guidance and serve as the primary HR contact for assigned business units, ensuring consistent administration of compensation policies and HR processes.
Ensuring Compliance and Safety
  • Monitor and Drive Compliance: Ensure adherence to employment laws, company policies, and procedures, and guide leaders on performance management activities.
  • Foster a Safe Working Environment: Execute safety plans, procedures, and policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage Worker's Compensation: Partner with local resources to manage worker's compensation claims and implement return-to-work plans.


Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED (required) and seven (7) years progressive HR experience as a generalist, specialist, analyst, or business partner (required) - or -
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field (highly preferred) and five (5) years progressive HR experience as a generalist, specialist, analyst, or business partner (preferred)
  • Specific experience in education, or other highly regulated field, and multi-site, multi-state environments (highly preferred)
  • CA employment law experience (highly preferred)

Strong working knowledge of:

  • Federal and state employment laws (especially ADAAA, FMLA, and state specific leave/disability regulations), employee relations best practices, and corporate policies and procedures
  • Investigatory protocols, procedures, and best practices (e.g. Harassment, discrimination, etc.)
  • Principles and procedures for employee relations, engagement, organizational change management, project management, and HR information systems
  • Auditing processes and procedures
  • Record keeping, versioning, document retention and other administrative processes and procedures
  • Worker's compensation practices and processes

  • Technological Savvy: Demonstrate intermediate proficiency with productivity software (MS Office), HRIS (UKG), and other enterprise-level software (Adobe DC, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Adaptability and Learning: Communicate, think, learn, and reason effectively, using computers and systems to perform assigned tasks and process transactions.
