Clinical Solutions Specialist - Presales

Job Summary

Provide product and clinical support to customers and sales representatives for hospital-wide system presentations. Assists Business Sales managers and Engineering personnel with the design of new products in identifying target markets and the needs of those markets.

Position Specifications

Essential Functions:

  1. Assists sales customers in clinical presale process by presenting the clinical applications corresponding with customer-based solutions focused on bridging the gap between the sales process and the clinical application.
  1. Conduct initial phone and on-site visits to assess customer needs.
  1. Conduct onsite hospital workflow and inventory assessment
  1. Conduct ongoing communication with sales representatives, sales management, customers, and other disciplines to ensure ongoing clinical support in the hospital-based selling solution process.
  1. Conduct follow-up visits and phone calls to maintain a constant and open relationship with the customer to promote the continued education of the Mindray North America product line.
  1. Acts as a liaison between the customer and other departments of Mindray NA such as Technical Support, Service, Engineering, and Product Management to find answers to customer-specific clinical application questions.
  1. Assist in developing and implementing ongoing sales training programs at a regional, corporate, and national level.
  1. Attending trade shows, and local and regional sales meetings to maintain communication with internal and external Mindray customers to maintain focus on clinical solutions.
  1. Employees will be compensated based on sales effectiveness/revenue generation and accountable to annual team quota for BeneVision DMS sales combined with patient monitoring and interoperability solutions.

Knowledge/Educational Requirement:

  • RN with a current license from an accredited nursing institution. BSN preferred.
  • 2-3 years clinical sales experience
  • 4+ years active nursing experience in nursing specialty area directly using cardiac monitoring on the acute patient.
  • Knowledge of advanced cardiac care, hemodynamic, Swan Ganz, and Cardiac Output Monitoring

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal communication skills and presentation skills to provide sales presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with many levels of marketing, sales, and engineering personnel at the divisional or corporate level as well as with all levels of hospital personnel including Nurse Managers, Directors of Nursing, Staff Nurses, and Purchasing Agents
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce application
  • Technical capability to understand all products and a clinical understanding of the application of these products in numerous clinical settings.
  • Flexibility to last-minute changes in schedules and must demonstrate a good work ethic to provide superior product demonstrations within specified time constraints.
  • Independent and self-motivated such that they can act without constant supervision.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Must be able to stand and speak in front of a group for periods of 2-5 hours, several times a day either in a hospital environment or at the corporate headquarters training center.
  • Must be located within 40 miles from a major airport
  • Must be able to travel 80% with 3-4 overnights a week.
  • Flexibility to last-minute changes in schedules
