Follow Trident on the Web at www.tridentseafoods.com or on social media on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube or LinkedIn Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for Inventory Control, SAP Analytics, troubleshooting and implementation of Inventory Systems, and Warehouse Processes. This role directs and coordinates warehouse activities of warehouse workers who receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products of the distribution warehouse. Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders to plan work activities.
- Manages the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials.
- Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.
- Plans, develops, and implements warehouse safety and security programs and activities with direction from safety management.
- Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise.
- Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with activities of sales, record control, production, and purchasing departments.
- Prepares or directs preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.
- Perform Inventory comparison between systems within SAP by ensuring the integrity of EWM and ERP systems.
- Troubleshoot process and system defects. Implement better business practices during SAP integration.
- Learn, train, and teach office staff Inventory Management and Shipping and Receiving processes. Continuously improve processes to maintain a leading standard warehouse.
- Develop communication within Trident, as well as with external Business partners to guide the warehouse to perform all transactions as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Troubleshoots errors in the system. Research where errors occur. Implement processes to prevent recurrence.
- Works with the purchasing group to ensure timely receipt of goods and facilitate production schedules.
- Coordinates the layout and storage practices in the warehouse to stay in regulatory and BRC compliance.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- Acquire knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notify designated personnel of any environmental and safety incidents, or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and or Safety training.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in warehouse/distribution center management including experience with direct supervision of employees.
- Knowledge of Interstate Shipping Regulations, Food Safety, and Audit procedures required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as Infor EAM
