Join us as our next Liquids Production Supervisor, reporting to the Liquids Process Manager, you will oversee the responsibility of production at our extraction site while strictly following and enforcing our safety policies and regulations relating specifically to product security, workers hygiene and safety, and waste.

You will be responsible to:



  • Oversee the production of the assigned department under the supervision of the Production Manager.
  • Prepare, schedule, and distribute work orders and other production forms, validating that they are completed correctly. Identify slow-moving products to report and propose adjustments or corrections.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement efforts and sets the standards for work performance for the shift.
  • Lead and monitor scale-up and first-time production to ensure product can be produced.
  • Identify process and formula improvements to affect site performance (quality, cost reduction, yield, safety).
  • Provide operations solutions for formula and process issues such as poor yield, chronic quality issues, excessive processing time, insufficient process controls, high product discard levels, or formula or process related safety issues.
  • Suggest solutions for the rework of out of specification product that requires technical intervention.
  • Leads and coaches the employees, increasing their effectiveness and creating a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensures all our department policies, procedures, and processes are followed by employees.
  • Oversees the time and attendance of team and brings any concerns to management's immediate attention.
  • Provides training and instructions to employees on company policies, product specifications and safety, and compliance with cGMP.
  • Ensures production equipment is well organized and properly cleaned according CGMPs.
  • Enforces all safety and housekeeping policies and procedures. Responsible for safety and security of their production area.
  • Ensures the CGMP's & Product Safety self-checks are performed correctly and registered on appropriate forms (CCPs, cleaning logs, etc).
  • Refers to the Quality Manager for any concerns in relation with hygiene and/or product safety (red products).
  • Administers daily production schedule, makes appropriate changes when required, and keeps partners informed.
  • Responsible for production-related communication and to create/process all important reports (production records, investigations, etc. as required).
  • Lead and support site improvement projects such as product transfers, quality improvement projects, yield improvement projects, cost reduction, and capacity improvement projects
  • In emergency situations, informs management, and other resources as applicable, while ensuring the safety of the employees.



Required Qualifications:

B.S. (or higher) in chemical engineering (preferred), food science, chemistry or related technical field.

3+ years of experience as a supervisor in process or project work in a manufacturing / production environment. Emphasis on liquids or extraction processing.

Experience in or with the equipment relating to the extraction/distillation of solvents, purification, or the centrifugation process.

Knowledge of GMPs, safety & internal waste internal procedures.

Bilingual in Spanish

Experience working with diverse workforces including technical teams, manufacturing groups and leadership.

Additional Experience

Familiar with SAP or similar systems

Intermediate-level Excel and ERP experience

Product formulation experience

Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
