Job Scope

The Product Manager, Global Molecular Marketing will be responsible for product management activities associated with assigned IVD Molecular Instruments and related Assays, Tests and Consumables. This individual will collaborate with a team of product managers and other organizational stakeholders responsible for software, instruments, and related assays & consumables to develop and execute life cycle and go-to-market strategies that support our corporate initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities




  • Provide full product life cycle leadership and serve as the subject matter expert for assigned IVD Systems and related Assays, Tests and Consumables
  • Provide guidance for portfolio lifecycle strategies, including the development and launch of new products, product line extensions and enhancements, and discontinuation of products
  • Be the voice of the customer to internal teams in collaboration with global regional marketing partners in our US, Canada, EMEA, APAC and LATAM regions
  • Be empowered as the global voice of the customer in all aspects of product development, providing strategic guidance to design and development teams that support US FDA, IVD-R and other global development strategies
  • Develop and own product launch plans, including elements such as defining launch goals, forecasts, launch strategy, customer segmentation, product messaging and positioning, training, and supporting content needed for a successful global launch and on-market support of assigned product portfolio
  • Develop marketing plans and support regional marketing campaigns to achieve both financial and strategic goals for the organization
  • Work with appropriate cross-functional teams to ensure product performance issues are tracked and resolved, and appropriate documentation is provided both internally and externally
  • Support the broader Diasorin Global Molecular Marketing team on assignments or projects as required
  • Be the Diasorin brand ambassador in internal and external stakeholder interactions, ensuring compliance to brand guidelines
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of Diasorin's Quality System



Education, Experience, and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree inScience or Engineering field or relevant field
  • 5 Years Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare laboratory, or related industries required
  • 3 Years Product management or related product technical support experience in Molecular Diagnostics (IVD) or Life Science Research preferred
  • Experience developing customer and product requirements for product development teams preferred
  • Experience working within a quality-systems environment and product development under design control preferred
  • Experience managing products across the entire portfolio lifecycle preferred
  • Marketing performance excellence with portfolio planning; lifecycle management; communication planning; market research, segmentation and analytics; new product launches and corresponding collateral materials; and product development from concept/identified need through commercialization
  • An overall competency in analyzing market data, trends and competitive environment, and preparing/presenting related reports
  • Self-starter, enthusiastic and strategic thinker with a bias for action
  • Demonstration of strong leadership capabilities, including leading by example
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building both internal and external relationships with our global regions: US, Canada, EMEA, APAC, LATAM
  • Self-confident and strong work ethic
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, as well as project management tools such as Asana




Travel Requirements




  • 25% Domestic and International travel may be needed
