Stony Brook University: Provost Office: School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences Location West Campus Open Date Jan 13, 2025 Deadline Mar 01, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description Description of Duties: The School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS) at Stony Brook University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position in Marine Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, or Sustainability Studies as part of the SUNY Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth plus (PRODiG ) program. The PRODiG program was created as a pipeline to facilitate postdoctoral fellows to enter tenure-track faculty positions at SUNY campuses. The incumbent will be initially hired into a two (2) year, 12-month non-tenure track faculty position at the lecturer level beginning in the fall of 2025, and will be mentored by a tenured faculty member most closely related to their research interests. A successful and productive candidate will have the opportunity to transition to a tenure-track position after two years.
