We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Analyst Lease and Contracts within our Land Administration group based in the Houston or The Woodlands, TX office. Roles and Responsibilities
*Prepares full and partial releases, assignments and Exhibit A's for producing properties. *Assists with working monthly calendars for leases. *Assists Land Operations as requested. *Conducts lease/unit reviews for shut-in wells and processes payments, subject to review and approval. *Identifies and tracks contractual obligations associated with lease acquisitions, trades and divestitures. *Assists within department with special projects including Acquisition & Divestitures. *Ensures continuous development of leases is accurately tracked. *Responsible for an area of operation and supports various geographic areas *Participates in developing processes to identify and rectify/ mitigate risks associated with lease acquisition, maintenance and retention. *Assists with litigation issues as requested. *Leads and works with other departments on projects including acquisitions and divestitures. *Leads discussions on process improvements within the department and makes recommendations to management.
Qualifications *Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree. *Prior experience in Oil & Gas work, demonstrating a solid understanding of relevant industry practices. *Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications. *Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal - and willing to exercise these skills. *Knowledge of Quorum Land System/SAP experience a plus. *Ability to work under deadlines and sometimes on multiple projects. *Handle confidential and proprietary company data and information. *Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. *General understanding of land terminology, contracts, and their uses with the ability to work on projects of increased complexity under general direction.
