The Currency, Commodities & Deriviative Operations (CCDO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across CCDO businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses. Within CCDO, the teams provide multiple services such as CCDO trade control, settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations. The Commodities Trade Control Team is seeking a Trade Control Analyst to join our growing team. This role supports the expanding Global Commodities business covering multiple products, and instruments. Full technical training will be provided our role is focused on supporting the trading desk, and being responsible for trade validation/ reconciliation, trade amendments, regulatory & management reporting, process and risk improvement and issue resolution. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is intellectually curios, keen to develop, and has a great attention to detail all whilst working in a fast paced, diverse and rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

Trade Validation reconciling trades to ensure trades are booked accurately in the system.
Performing trade amendments to correct booking errors.
Investigating and resolving breaks Working closely with Sales, Trading and Operations to resolve breaks.

Prepare regulatory reports for the Commodities Reporting Team

Ensure breaches for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness are appropriately escalated and reported.

Produce metrics on Commodities reporting

Work on ad-hoc requests.

Required Qualifications:

Keen desire for learning and intellectual curiosity

Good communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority
Excellent organizational skills are required with the ability to prioritize daily workload whilst working accurately in a high-energy environment
Keen analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation
Logical approach to problem solving - taking ownership and offering practical solutions

Must have 2-3 years of Power & Gas Commodities experience

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of ETRM system (Endur Openlink) a plus

Commodities Mid-Office/Trade Control experience preferred
