We are seeking a dynamic Loan Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our loan operations department. In this role, you will oversee a dedicated team of loan processors who handle the preparation, onboarding, review, and posting of documentation for both commercial and consumer loans. You will collaborate closely with lenders and bank managers to ensure the highest standards of loan quality, accuracy, and efficiency across all loan activities. This leadership position is ideal for someone passionate about providing exceptional service and maintaining operational excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise all document preparation, CRA and HMDA on Consumer, SBA and Commercial Loans, and post-loan documentation on all loans.
  • Direct the assignment of loan files, paying of taxes, insurance and escrow analysis and billings, mailings, and IRS.
  • Oversee maintenance of loan files for documentation.
  • Direct implementation of department policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all questions, inquiries, and problems regarding consumer, commercial, and SBA loans. Handle more complex loan servicing problems and situations.
  • Work with internal and external auditors, consultants and examiners on various reviews and examinations.
  • Recruit, select, train, and manage staff.
  • Attend seminars and conferences; participate in training and education programs..
  • Develop and implement the servicing procedures to assure accuracy and high level of customer service.
  • Remain current on all new and existing regulations to ensure departments compliance within the Loan Servicing function.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of CCB.
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
  • Represent in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs.
  • Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish assigned job duties.
  • Additional duties as requested or assigned.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have 3 to 5 years loan operations experience and or management experience
  • Able to manage and work with others
  • Able to understand documents pertaining to loans and servicing them
  • Able to handle more complex problems and situations with loans
  • Ability to work with all lenders and managers to ensure high level of loan quality
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Be able to work with computers and be a quick learner to learn new software as arises.
  • Be familiar with lending products and various loan documents.
  • Understand loan terminology and can adapt to frequent process improvements and changes.
  • Be able to work well with others.
  • Multi-task and juggle tasks daily.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
