Job Description: We are seeking a poised and polished professional to join our cardiology team as a Patient Services Associate, Front Desk. The ideal candidate will enhance the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to our cardiology practice. This role requires experience and knowledge within the cardiology space and familiarity with cardiac terminology.
Key Responsibilities: * Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of our system. * Process check-in and/or check-out, point of service activities, and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC. * Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures. * Verify insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. * Maintain efficient flow of practice and escalate patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate. * Greet and interact with patients/visitors in a professional manner, both on the phone and in person. * Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards. * Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
