Overview

SRI is looking for an independent Security Professional to work on-site at our Arlington, VA office. The ideal candidate will work with Special Access Programs, Various Department of Defense agencies and the Intelligence Community; will primarily be responsible for personnel security, document control, and customer engagement. Miscellaneous tasks may be assigned to support Special Access Programs and Intelligence Community needs.



Responsibilities

The primary function is to handle personnel security functions in support of multiple customer activities. Additionally, will provide daily PERSEC services for various DoD, and IC clients. An array of Industrial Security responsibilities will be asked of the candidate who is willing to be adaptive to the various client's security procedures and policies without fear of taking on challenging yet rewarding tasks.



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree with 2 years or at least 6 years' experience without a degree. Experience must be in the DoD, SAP and IC environments.
  • U.S. Citizenship with a current TS with SCI eligibility or willingness to process for SCI successfully; and with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company required.
  • SAP, ICD, and other CDSE certifications preferred. A combination of related industrial security experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of the following standards: 32 CFR Part 117, DoD DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4 SAP manuals, DCID/ICD, basic familiarity with JSIG, and other guiding policy documents required.
  • Working knowledge of the Department of Defense database programs or willingness to become knowledgeable within an assigned period; TALON, JADE, DISS, NISS, e-QIP, SWFT, and NBIS.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience using security management software and applications. Experience with SIMS is preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication, organizational and customer service skills required.
  • Must be available for occasional after-hours assistance.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
  • Some travel within the continental United States may be required.
  • Must be available to respond to security alarms to include after-hours if required.
  • Knowledge of conducting the execution of program security questionnaires and tracking the nomination process throughout its entire cycle.
  • Experience conducting program indoctrinations and debriefs.

Must be able to:

  • Generate program access requests, coordinate with program managers, and gain understanding of program requirements related to PERSEC activities.
  • Understand processing access requests, approvals, debriefs and other program related functions in the Joint Access Database (JADE), as well as utilizing JADE in maintaining all customer sponsored personnel access information, including running reports, building, reactivating, and archiving profiles.
  • Assist in the maintenance of personnel security files for all staff supporting customer related programs.
  • Generate and maintain tracking spreadsheets/databases for customer PERSEC activities.
  • Receive, transmit, track, and generally work with classified visit requests as necessary to meet customer and company requirements.
  • Maintain access rosters, visitor logs (Cleared and Uncleared), SF 702s, manage indoctrination briefings/debriefings, classified material accountability records.
  • Conduct, track, and document annual training and be able to provide initial, refresher, and event-driven training for cleared personnel on SAP, collateral and IC programs.
  • Conduct pre-travel and post-travel briefings, and coordinate documentation with the customer.
  • Maintain open/close rosters and access controls.
  • Be flexible in providing support to various job functions as needed in support of various program security operations.

The salary range is: $68,346-$90,558. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles.
