POSITION OBJECTIVE: Administer and oversee all enterprise batch-scheduling environments, including distributed and mainframe platforms. To be proficient in the various aspects of workflow automation operator and workflow automation scheduler roles. Lead the analysis of mainframe and open systems computer operations procedures, schedules, schedule monitoring, detect conflicts, equipment, and production levels to eliminate problems and ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality processing. To lead changes in areas needing improvement and develop suggestions and collaborate with various levels of staff to improve support and services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Design, implement, and support enterprise job automation for all lines of business and processes to support the business applications. Must have excellent understanding of Control-M Architecture and components. Expert knowledge of Control-M Server/EM/agents/modules and manage installations, configurations, and upgrades. Perform monitoring of the timely scheduling, execution, preparation of equipment, accessing software, performing commands, monitoring and maintaining systems processing, responding to requests, distribution of output, and quality of all mainframe and open systems platform batch and online production and development processing. Provide input and participate in or lead the design, installation and implementation of Data Center automation systems software that will improve productivity and efficiency of Computer Operations. Lead in collection and accumulation of requested information for identifying customer requirements (i.e., processing, times, memory, priority) and service level objectives. Provide knowledgeable support to staff during investigation of causes, sources, and impacts of hardware failures and errors, along with assisting when needed. POSITION DESCRIPTION Provide further knowledgeable detection of issues, review/analysis of dashboards, console instructions, queries, error messages, equipment malfunctions, schedules, program/job control language info and system failures. Independently perform and head research, analysis, design, development, testing and implementing software as dictated by production issues, project, or special needs (i.e., reruns, end-of-month, end-of-year, special processing, etc.). Initiate corrective actions and develop documentation and training. Be knowledgeable in file transfer routines and tools for development, such as scripting languages, debugging, analysis, reporting and testing tools as indicated by an assignment. Lead development of direction, design, implementation, support, and management in all aspects of file transfer process. Be knowledgeable in use of incident tracking software to maintain accurate records of hardware performance, application system performance, malfunctions, reruns, other difficulties, and to centralize operational requests and needs from Farm Bureau Insurance and affiliated companies. Be proficient in the development and maintenance of disaster prevention and recovery procedures and plans. Lead and participate in testing and/or executing disaster recovery plans. Complete all phases of assigned projects according to planned schedules. Lead or conduct various research projects as directed by management. Control-M Administration, Installation of Control-M server /EM /Agents / CM/ MFT/ AI/ WCM modules. Experience in Migration/Upgrade of Control-M environment. Basic knowledge of firewalls, DMZ, encryption, certificates Basic Knowledge on UNIX and Windows OS, Networking and Databases Design site standard rules and policies and set site standard enforcement. Provide leadership and participate in review, recommendation, and implementation of changes to all product job schedule environments. Implement modified or new schedules. Monitor the timely scheduling, execution, distribution and quality of all mainframe and open systems platforms and online production and development processing. Recommend, initiate and implement improvements in processing, and quality control to maximize the efficient and effective use of all available computer hardware and human resources. Consider areas that will improve and maintain security, safety, equipment, procedures, documentation, processing, quality, proficiency, and competency. POSITION DESCRIPTION Share expertise, mentor and train other staff in various aspects of scheduling and automation responsibilities. Must have access to high-speed Internet at home if position is remote. *Minimum four years diverse computer operations or programming experience preferred. *Previous experience as a system administrator or workflow automation scheduler required. *Proficiency when using Windows, Linux, and mainframe operating systems *Knowledge with Job Control Language (JCL), operating systems, incident reporting systems, job scheduling concepts, automated operations systems, personal computer systems, spreadsheets and word processing.
