Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Compliance team as a Senior Compliance Analyst!

About the role

As the Senior Compliance Analyst, you will lead our Regulatory Change Management (RCM) Program and support projects for the Privacy Office. You will manage Program initiatives and responsibilities, including establishing, maintaining, and enhancing Symetra's regulatory change process, controls, and reporting mechanisms. This role will also support the Privacy Office for privacy compliance on a variety of projects, including reporting, incident response, tracking regulatory notices, and other privacy compliance requirements.

What you will do



  • Administer regulatory change across the enterprise by leading the RCM Program and administering the RegEd CODE platform, a third-party tool to track regulatory developments
  • Perform periodic reviews and validation of measures taken to align with regulatory change
  • Build out and enhance existing RCM metrics, performance KPIs, and reporting tools
  • Maintain and update RCM policies, procedures, documentation and repositories
  • Facilitate RCM system user training and perform Quality Control (QC) on proper business use of platform
  • Administer CODE user access and perform user reviews as well as consistently build relationships with key business partners to understand business need and make adjustments to CODE usage
  • Advise and collaborate with Compliance and other business areas, including leadership, on RCM Program developments and changes
  • Coordinate intake, perform triage, and support documentation request and compilation for privacy incidents
  • Conduct periodic third-party application reminders and enhance privacy controls around critical data
  • Perform enhancements on Privacy reporting, metrics, performance KPIs, and review reporting tools
  • Publish and maintain Privacy regulatory notices, policies, documentations, and procedures
  • Support other privacy compliance projects and initiatives as needed for the Privacy Office

Compensation

Salary Range: $77,600- $129,400 annually plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program.

Who You Are:



  • High School Diploma required plus Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of life insurance compliance, operations, or insurance industry experience required
  • Solid understanding of how insurance business operations and their related legislative, regulatory, and in-house compliance policy requirements apply to business practices and projects
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and document detailed compliance research and synthesize advice into concise summaries
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills that demonstrate the ability to distill complex challenges into actionable solutions
  • Ability to scrutinize documents and data for relevancy, accuracy and compliance
  • High level of personal integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness
  • Ability to work independently and within a team and deal effectively with business partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Excel, Notebooks, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
