Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Channel Marketing Specialist!

About the role

In this role, you will develop compelling, visually impactful presentations that help drive sales and participation in Symetra benefit products. You will create content, visual designs, and effectively communicate with a range of audiences through strategic storytelling.

What you will do



  • Create Content: Work closely with sales, product teams, and other internal partners to gather the insights and information needed to craft compelling narratives and transform complex information into clear, engaging presentations for a variety of audiences
  • Visualize Data: Create impactful charts, graphs, and infographics that simplify and enhance the presentation of complex data
  • Maintain Brand Consistency: Ensure presentations follow brand design standards by collaborating with internal designers to ensure all visual elements adhere to our corporate design guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Training: Support sales and other internal teams by providing training on how to effectively use the templates and deliver effective presentations.
  • Maintenance: Work with internal teams to regularly review and update existing presentations to ensure they reflect the latest information. This includes identifying outdated content, aligning materials with recent updates, and making edits to improve clarity and visual impact.
  • General Channel Marketing: Support Continuing Education (CE) programs by ensuring course presentations are up to date with accurate information, compliant and visually engaging.

    • Support the Channel Marketing Manager as needed to enhance the effectiveness of channel marketing initiatives.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies and content across various platforms, including email, social media, video, web, and sales enablement tools, as needed.


  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks as needed and actively work to deepen your understanding of the group insurance industry, Symetra's products and the distribution channels through which they are delivered.

Who You Are



  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in communications, graphic design, visual communications preferred.
  • 3 years of marketing work experience required.
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry preferred.
  • Prior copywriting, editing and proofreading experience preferred.
  • Advanced skills in using software and online graphic design tools (ex. PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe, Visme, Ceros, Prezi)
  • Skilled in creating engaging and interactive presentations.
  • Proficiency with other MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) required.
  • Knowledge of common publishing tools, including SharePoint required.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey complex ideas.
