The Paralegal will be primarily responsible for maintaining the Company's contract database and managing the entire life cycle of contracts. In addition, the Paralegal will assist the General Counsel with all other functions of the contracts and legal department. The Paralegal must have an understanding of the requirements of the healthcare industry and stay current with best practices, laws and regulations. Finally, the Paralegal must develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external legal department stakeholders. This position reports to the General Counsel.




  • Be responsible for maintaining contracts and files in the Company's contract management system.
  • Assist with reconfiguration of Company's contract management system.
  • Develop and maintain reports for monitoring status of contracts.
  • Review and draft templated documents and contracts with attorney supervision in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and process contract renewals and terminations in a timely manner.
  • Assist with development of policies, procedures and checklists for contracts and legal department.
  • Assist with response to subpoena's, charges, and other legal documents.
  • Manage Service of Process documents received via statutory agent or other means in a timely manner.
  • Conduct legal research as needed.
  • Support General Counsel in delivery of contracts and legal services to internal customers.
  • Develop and maintain effective and positive relationships with internal and external legal department stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Requires at least three years' experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporation.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent from accredited institution.
  • Requires experience in contract review and administration. Experience in Healthcare Industry preferred
  • Intermediate critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Advanced time management, organizational, communication, conflict resolution and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite required. Experience in contract database administration preferred, such as Cobblestone.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card or able to apply for one within 7 working days of assuming role
  • Must pass a TB Test.
