VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company (https://www.lg.com/global/mobility) of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG's proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

As the Accountant I you will:

Responsibilities:

- Monitors and controls account payable, vendors registration and updates, company's payments for all the expenses
- Supports payment systems and procedures to other teams and individuals
- Performs daily bank reconciliation and monthly bank closing
- Manages fixed asset expenditures, registration and modification, and physical fixed asset counting biannual
- Prepares various reports for financial monthly closing and reporting
- Performs all the accounting jobs under accounting team leader's guidance and company's policy
- Communicates with internal employees for individual expense corrections and encourages to clear unprocessed corporate card expenditures and all expense of vendor invoices
- Provide Vendor registration and modification guidance to internal teams and employees, and examine the required back up documents and validate the vendor information by calling vendors as well as the vendor's bank
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Prepare and fulfill Internal Control Assessment Test for K-SOX and external Audit of financial statements
- Prepare documentation of work process and provide training materials of accounting internal procedures to other team colleagues
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related majors in an accounting, finance or economics/statistics, and various business management
- 1+ years of relevant experience and knowledge in accounting & finance
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to work early/late hours as required to communicate with HQ offices in Korea and to complete Global Financial Closing on time

Preferred:

- Understand intermediate accounting principles and cash flow management
- Ability to think critically and analytically
- Exercise attention to detail and excellent organization skills
- Possess effective, professional interpersonal skills

- Abilities to move or carry objects or merchandises during the inventory counting or any job required objects movement needed.

Travel requirements:

Not extensive business travel required; however, occasional travel may require for training purposes at NJ or HQ
