The Drafter is responsible for preparing routine drafting projects, such as those required for customer orders while adhering to established technical specifications and drafting standards. Problem solving along with the applications engineers to ensure customer success.

Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for performing specific computer aided design using AutoCAD & Inventor to support Application Engineering team which includes the creation of 3D solid models, detail drawings, and system layout drawings as requested by Engineering.

  • Responsible for performing corrections, revisions, and changes to parts, models, assemblies, and layouts as required

  • Development of Customer Submittal documents and Customer Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Instructions

  • Provide support for manufacturing and assembly cell layouts.

  • Create installation instructions, sales drawings, and submittals using AutoCAD and InDesign software

  • Maintain organization and standard of controlled documents and ensure and serve as the gatekeeper for controlling sensitive product documentation.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects under supervision to drive process and productivity output gains

  • Review job details and blue prints, and submit project information into work funnel for further processing

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology | Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting & Design, equivalent technical degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor, Version 2012 or newer. Autodesk Vault Experience is highly desired

  • Familiarity with ASME Y14 drafting standards preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Microsoft Access and Project are a plus

  • Additional Computer skills desired include familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe InDesign

  • Must have the ability to read and interpret complex detail drawings and architectural/structural blue prints

  • Must be professional and possess strong communication and documentation skills

  • Customer Driven Sense of Urgency.

  • Self-motivated individual able to multi-task effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
