This position will be responsible for: Preparing monthly journal entries Preparing monthly close schedules Ensuring monthly close deadlines are met Reviewing financial statements and performing account reconciliations Analyzing financial statement activity Working closely with other departments in recording and analyzing financial data Assisting with internal and external audit requests, as well as other special projects Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related degree 3 to 5 years Corporate Accounting Experience (would consider 2-3 years of Public Accounting) Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines Self-motivated and strong work ethic Ability to analyze data and reach own conclusions Independent thinker with the ability to problem solve Proactive learner Takes accountability and strives to increase results Advanced Excel skills Ability to work Overtime required for monthly closing activities Desired Qualification Upstream Oil and Gas experience / background a plus SAP experience a plus CPA a plus Recruitment Fraud It has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
