DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will deliver exceptional services to the public while assisting with the maintenance of Forest District facilities. You will also support the operations related to fire management, recreation, resource management, and maintenance programs, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively. Your duties will encompass forest fire protection, the operation of various equipment, and the upkeep and repair of facilities and equipment.
This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards in service delivery and operational effectiveness. By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will contribute significantly to the overall management and preservation of forest resources, enhancing the experience for the community and ensuring safety and sustainability within the district.

- Seasonal, full-time employment without benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee is placed on leave without pay.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Thursday, with a 30 minute lunch.
- This position may require overtime.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position will require possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
