The Nutrition Clerk, working under close supervision, helps maintain complete, accurate, and updated records of patient diet orders. This role also assists with completing patient and resident menus according to their diets and individual needs in order to ensure high quality service and provide nutritious food during their stay.

Assists with completing patient and resident menus according to diet order and individual needs and food preferences.
Helps maintain accurate and updated patient diet records in order to ensure that all changes are verified and documented/entered prior to the next meal service.
Helps receive phone calls and disseminates information appropriately.
Notifies the Clinical Dietitian of pertinent patient care issues in a timely manner.
Supports the team by promptly notifying the supervisor of problems or potential problems if they arise.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Required: At least 6 months experience in a clerical setting
