*Will be working fully in office for a large surgery practice!* *Standard Hours* - Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00 PM * * *A day in the role...* * Review the office charges from the previous day that the providers inputted * Go into the hospital system (EPIC) to see if any charges are not yet entered * Review diagnosis code and make sure they pick the correct one, if it is incorrect - look at provider notes to see what level of code is needed * Adding modifiers to the charges as needed * Verify patient insurance * Submitting provider charges * * *Necessary Skills and Strengths:* *Medical Billing | Coding | Insurance Verification | Charge Entry* *Core Experience:* * Experience working with modifiers * 2+ years of medical billing * Open to candidates with CPC or CPC-A without medical billing experience *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 * Medical, dental & vision * Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available * Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Transportation benefits * Employee Assistance Program * Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) *Workplace Type* This is a fully onsite position in Norfolk,VA. *Application Deadline* This position will be accepting applications until Jan 10, 2025.
