Our client in the higher education space is looking to bring a Security and Infrastructure Project Manager to take over a portion of the PM and operational duties for the team. They are going through a large number of technology changes, especially related to bolstering their security standards, practices, tools, and team. Responsibilities include managing infrastructure and security projects, driving project completion, gathering status updates to report back to CIO/Vice Chancellor of IT, and ensuring teams can work effectively together. Key tasks involve continuing the onboarding of a Dell SOC across the statewide system, rolling out a new IAM solution, deploying Intune (initially for Windows machines, with Mac deployment expected by March), contributing to an upcoming network evolution project, and more as our client strengthens their IT department. Additional tasks/needs for the future include implementing enterprise monitoring, a risk management rework, creating a controls inventory, shifting from NIST to CIS, re-envisioning the PMO, and more down the line. Understanding of incident response plans, security audits, vulnerability assessments. Ability to mold projects to comply with relevant regulations and standards. Capable of working cross-functionally with infrastructure, systems, support, business, and other pieces of security. Understanding of the various security tools and solutions, and how they work with each other. - Network infrastructure: Understanding of network architecture and commonly used tools and protocols. Ability to relate infrastructure to security, and create+execute a cohesive project plan. - Cloud migration: Understanding of the offerings from the major cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and ability to develop and execute a sound cloud migration strategy. Understanding of the data migration tied into this effort, and the automation/orchestration best practices. Ability to track performance, usage, and cost to ensure optimal resource utilization. - IT project management: Ability to develop project plans including scope, timeline, resources, and budget. Able to identify and manage key stakeholder expectations. Able to identify potential risks, and proactively resolve. Excellent communication skills. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Familiarity with Asana or TDX is preferred, though these tools may change with a planned PMO re-structure. Experience with Planner for Kanban-type tasks is beneficial. They don't use Microsoft Project. Knowledge of student information systems, particularly transitioning from Banner to Oracle Student, is a plus. Candidates should be able to have fun and work well with a team, with a higher education experience being helpful but not essential. This position is hybrid and will need to sit couple days/week onsite in Knoxville, TN. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
