JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Wacleche Lab is dedicated to uncovering and defining the roles of pathogenic and non-pathogenic T cells in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Our research employs cutting-edge cellular and molecular techniques, including RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, cell culture, advanced cell sorting, and both in vivo and ex vivo experimental models. Through these approaches, we aim to advance our understanding of immune mechanisms and contribute to transformative discoveries in lupus research.

Here are the task of a postdoc:

• Manage research projects: Designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to scientific discoveries.
• Contribute to day-to-day task of the lab. Do orders. Write and update lab book.
• Help in Mentoring students (undergraduate or graduate students)
• Present scientific information both formally and informally
• Prepare reports, contribute to grant writing and papers for publication
• Applying for fellowships, grants, or other funding to support research activities and professional development.
• Enhancing technical expertisewith innovative ideas

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field and be able to provide evidence that all requirements have been met for completion of the Ph.D. prior to the effective date of hire.

This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire with a good possibility of re-funding.
