- This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and a minimum of 3 years of technical experience. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
- A current and active Secret Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Understanding of the NORAD Air Defense mission.
- Previous qualification as a Battle Control Systems (BCS) Air Battle Manager, Senior Director or Weapons Director.
- Must be a self-motivated and able to take responsibility for identifying, organizing, coordinating, executing necessary tasks leading to the successful accomplishment of assigned duties.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an integrated test team.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook applications is required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills to provide results to decision makers
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Experience with assisting in drafting test plans and reports.
- Experience collecting, parsing, and validating data.
- Experience analyzing data, reporting findings and observations and documenting deficiencies to determine compliance with user requirements.
- Experience on BCS R3.2.4.4 software or subsequent releases.
- Familiarity with Army and/or Wide Area Surveillance (AS) sensors.
- Basic familiarity with Mode 5, Mode S, and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B).
- Familiar with Tactical Display Framework (TDF) functionality.
- Familiar with digital weapons control procedures and techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development of strategic test documents such as Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), test team charters, test schedules, methods of test, technical or letter reports, and other test related documents as required in the conduct of testing.
- Participate in review and editing of program support documentation including test directives and annexes, and Statements-of-Capability (SOC).
- Provides support for planning, execution, and reporting phases of developmental test and evaluation (DT&E).
- Provides technical leadership in the identification of test objectives, methods of testing, test support and documenting requirements for test projects.
- Performs as Test Engineer for Weapons Control, Simulation, and Air Tasking Order/Airspace Control Order test objectives.
- Assists Tactical Data Link personnel with "Weapons" functions (i.e. Digital Control)
- Assists in writing documentation to include plan, reports, and other products.
- Qualified and able to travel to worldwide sites as required.
