HVAC Technician

The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems that control thermal comfort and air quality. Working under limited supervision, this role performs maintenance throughout the hospital and commercial buildings to troubleshoot and repair equipment to serve patients and staff. The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday days and weekend rotation. Talent Pool - Facilities & Operations

  • Identifies causes of air conditioning equipment malfunction to offer corrective measures for the restoration of efficient operations.
  • Responds to requests for service throughout the hospital in a timely and professional manner to remedy patient and staff concerns.
  • Prepares maintenance reports and work order requests in order to report equipment maintenance history for record keeping and future reference.
  • Charges air conditioning systems with refrigerant and adjust regulators in line with the Environmental Protection Agency's guidelines on safe use of refrigerants.
  • Submits purchase requests and recommendations for equipment and parts in order to repair systems in line with operating design.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 years of experience in industrial/commercial maintenance
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
CFC certification
