The Research Technician I is a full-time position that serves to assist investigators in the Center for Transplantation Sciences research laboratory under the direct supervision of the Laboratory and Administrative Manager. Primary responsibilities are to learn to perform experiments for research projects under supervision of the managers, senior research technologists, and investigators. This includes preparing non-human primate tissue samples for in-vitro analysis, collection of and accurate recording of procedures and results, maintenance of databases used in the lab, and participation in joint upkeep of the lab.

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Experience: New graduates with some lab experience (via course work, internships, etc.) or those without any prior research experience will be considered for the Research Technician I position outlined above. Working Conditions: Research laboratory 40 hours per week, with some flexibility in the schedule. There will be intermittent need for overtime hours, based on workflow and assigned by the Lab Manager. The laboratory is a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to establish and re-adjust priorities of assigned tasks to meet program needs.
