Description

In this role, you will support cleaning and sanitation efforts under the direct supervision of the Patient Services Manager and Supervisors. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, and waxing floors.
  • Washing walls, doors, windows, light fixtures, and disposing of trash in waste bins.
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and relining trash containers and linen hampers.
  • Washing and steaming rubber floor mats.
  • Ensuring proper cleaning, storage, and reporting of any housekeeping equipment malfunctions to the on-duty supervisor.
  • Washing dishes, pans, utensils, and small equipment following established procedures.
  • Following all safety and sanitation protocols.

This is a part-time, per diem position with a variable schedule and hours. While based at the Ronald Reagan Medical Center, this role may also require work at other UCLA Health locations, including the Santa Monica Hospital. This position may transition to a career role.

Salary Range: $25.80-25.80/hour

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions in English.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, stretch, stoop, bend, climb, and reach repeatedly.
  • Capability to work in hot, cold, and/or wet environments, lift up to 40 lbs, and push/pull up to 350 lbs.
  • Knowledge of chemical usage, disposal, and labeling in a food service setting.
  • Adherence to dress code and willingness to work in a non-smoking environment.
  • Proficiency in safe food handling practices.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying workloads and work schedules.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, assistant managers, and managers.
  • Ability to travel to various UCLA Health locations as needed.
