Description Intermediate Data Center Technician Location: San Antonio, TX Company: TEKsystems Job Type: Contract Position About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Intermediate Data Center Technician to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our ongoing RNG network upgrade project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless implementation and maintenance of our data center infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of the RNG network upgrade project. * Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of data center equipment. * Monitor and manage data center operations to ensure optimal performance and uptime. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve technical issues. * Implement and adhere to data center policies and procedures. * Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and upgrades. * Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians as needed. Qualifications: * Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. * 2-4 years of experience in data center operations or a similar technical role. * Strong understanding of network infrastructure and data center environments. * Experience with network upgrade projects, particularly RNG networks, is highly desirable. * Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Skills: * Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. * Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and other cloud services. * Experience with scripting and automation tools.
