GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the supervision of Department Manager and following established policies and department procedures, responsible for back-office processing of legal orders and processes. Provides support for other branch related centralized operations including the following functional duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Accept and review subpoenas and summons; determine appropriate action, prepare client and agency written communication, if applicable, identify records requiring production and coordinate preparation of subpoena response with required documents.
  • Review levies and other garnishment notices, determine appropriate action, prepare client and agency written communications and handle in accordance with governing law.
  • Provide directions to branches regarding legal process notices, records requests, and other types of related inquiries.
  • Assist with retrieving statements, transaction history and transaction images from all image and report applications for subpoena production, legal orders, client requests and other research requirements.
  • Track research progress periodically, analyze and resolve research issues promptly and accurately; seek guidance from Department Manager when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations of the bank.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in research tools and techniques. Identify areas of improvements and make recommendations to Department Manager.
  • Perform other functions that the Department Manager may deem appropriate and necessary.



QUALIFICATIONS

Education:



  • High School Graduate with some college classes preferred.


Experience



  • Minimum 1 year of experience in branch support operations.

  • Strong organization and planning skills - can complete work in an efficient, timely and proactive manner, and be productive under demanding and challenging circumstances.
  • Handle multiple activities and prioritize work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - can effectively build rapport, develop, and maintain relationships.
  • Convey a sense of pride in their work and the results attained.
  • Is self-motivated and acts without being prompted by others.
  • Sufficient knowledge of banking applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work overtime, which may be required depending on business needs.



OTHER DETAILS

$21.15 - $22.60 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
