*TEKsystems has a long term contract for an SAP Data Architect Manager. *Our client is beginning a business-led transformation program that's strategically aimed at transforming their ways of working and improving end-to-end processes enabled by technology. It's a multi-phased program that consists of migrating from a legacy ERP (IFS) to SAP S/4HANA in a Rise environment. A separate program run by a sister company has created the initial solution and maintains the instance and environment that also needs to host our client's solution.
As part of this they are hiring an SAP Data Architect Manager for 18 - 24 months. This consultant must have significant experience architecting and building global solutions in SAP Master Data, especially Material and Customer data. He/she must be able to create a global data governance program and work with the sister company to create this program. The data architect manager must be technically sound but also strategic. Formal Job Description: As the Data Architect Manager for our ERP programs, you will be responsible for delivering high quality data for all Program projects, particularly for the successful launch and deployment of our ERP system, SAP S/4HANA. Reporting to the Transformation Director, you will define the data migration strategy and deliver a detailed plan that covers Strategy, Preparation, Source to Target Mapping, Cleansing, Data Extraction, Transformation, Loading (ETL), Testing, and Cutover. You will collaborate with our sister company's technical team as well as our department heads, managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand our data environment and advise on opportunities and limitations of the SAP S/4 data model to drive appropriate solutions. Specific Job Responsibilities: *Collaborate with the third-party implementation partner to define the data architecture strategy and detailed plan that will be delivered within the Integrated Program Plan. *Collaborate with our sister company team to align the above strategy in the single instance environment. *Chair the Data Design Authority overseeing the design standard, any changes/deviations and governs the overall Data structure. *Drive the development of the data architecture roadmap, migration plans, checklists, and timelines, ensuring adherence to project milestones. *Ensure third-party partner and PMS accountabilities are clear and delivered in accordance with the Program plan, across the phases of Strategy, Preparation, Source to Target Mapping, Cleansing, Data Extraction, Transformation, Loading (ETL), Testing and Cutover. *Collaborate with process owners, subject matter experts, data analysts, and other stakeholders to define, establish, and communicate application and data architecture standards, policies, and directions. *Design high quality architecture and drives architecture activities that are aligned to organization requirements and are consistent with enterprise architectural standards. *Lead the design and implementation of advanced data collection and ingestion frameworks. *Architect and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and storage solutions. *Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams. *Document data related change management process/system impacts and work with Communications Specialist to share change to end user community. *Develop and implement data cleansing strategies and reconciliation plans. *Evaluate the integrity and validity of data elements, ensuring accuracy throughout the data remediation process. *Collaborate with data owners to validate cleansed data and ensure compliance with established standards. *Lead and mentor a team of data quality analysts, defining their roles and responsibilities. *Establish data migration security controls to safeguard sensitive information. *Design and execute comprehensive migration test plans, including unit and end-to-end integration testing. *Document migration activities and outcomes, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. *Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, audit controls, and data security policies. *Provide technical guidance and support to development team members, fostering a collaborative environment. *Establish an accountability and approval framework for all functions and Global Process Owners operating within the data strategy and migration plan. Qualifications: *BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; master's preferred *7+ years of experience in supporting large data migration/conversions for ERP applications *5 - 7 years supervisory experience *Experience in data platform architecture, data engineering, master data management and modern data practices *Strong SAP S/4HANA data architecture knowledge *Strong knowledge of database design principles and best practices *Proficiency in relevant tools (Apache Hive, Big Data technologies, Spark, VBA, etc.) *Experience in writing SQL * Loader, SQL, PLSQL *Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets *Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders *Attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity *Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment * Data migration experience from IFS to SAP is a plus Other Information *This is a Remote position but up to 20% travel to our Colorado HQ's will be required depending on project needs. *This is an 18 month to 2-year project position. *Local candidates preferred in Denver market but can consider out of state with travel into Denver requests.
