Summary

The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for applying project management practices and tools to effectively manage the implementation of projects and initiatives within Columbia Distributing. Most projects will involve operational changes involving physical configurations of buildings, technical innovations, supplier or brand acquisitions, or significant process changes. The PM may also, depending on the project, assume responsibility for some or all operational elements related to the project. The Project Delivery Manager will be expected to lead and mentor other PM's. This role will be to manage projects hands-on and lead the team of project managers.

*This position is an onsite role that will be based in our corporate office in Wilsonville, OR. Local applications only to be reviewed.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Lead and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship for project managers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify project objectives, address challenges and drive resolution.
  • Monitor project metrics, identify risks, and ensure effective mitigation strategies.
  • Determine and define project scope, objectives, requirements and change management.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and track budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work under pressure, meeting deadlines and being flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Leadership- Exceptional work ethic, genuine enthusiasm, and drive to succeed in this role. Demonstrated ability to tactfully influence executive, leaders, and project stakeholders. Assemble and manage cross-functional project team. Direct and supervise vendors, consultants, and team members.

People Management

This role will be responsible for leading cross-functional project teams and developing strong, trusting, and effective relationships with operations, sales, and administrative leadership throughout the company to collaboratively drive results. The Project Delivery Manager will also be responsible for assisting other Project Managers as needed.

Work Environment

Corporate in-office environment.

Physical Requirements



  • Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp throughout shift.
  • Climb stairs/ladder occasionally


Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, days/hours of work vary, and may include weekends.

Required Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 8+ years of project management and related experience
  • Experience with ERP and Change Management
  • Supply chain and logistics knowledge


Preferred Education and Experience



  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Proven knowledge of Agile methodology in managing projects
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Supply chain and logistics knowledge
  • Experience with enterprise applications and other technology domains highly preferred
  • Change management training and expertise preferred


Compensation



  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
  • Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
