About This Role

This position is in the College of Architecture, Planning and Design, (APDesign), Information Technology unit. We are looking for a team member who can work collaboratively to provide technical support to end users, manage IT equipment purchasing and inventory, and ensure seamless operation of audio-visual (AV) technology in our tech-rich classrooms. Additionally, responsible for the annual deployment of design applications to tech rich labs and classrooms, maintaining computer and virtual reality lab, and supporting maker space equipment, like laser cutters, large format plotters, and 3d printers. Worksite Option

This position is hybrid or on-site.

The hybrid work agreement for this position will include up to eight hours of remote work per week (20% remote, 80% on-site). Remote work is granted at the discretion of the direct supervisor. Additional details about potential hybrid work in this role can be discussed during interview.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma and two years relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proven experience providing technical support in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with IT asset management practices and tools.
  • Proficiency in mobile device management (MDM) solutions, specifically Jamf Pro with experience managing Apple devices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Experience with audio visual technology and support, including troubleshooting projectors, interactive displays and video conferencing systems

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced academic environment.


  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with faculty, staff, and students to understand and resolve technical issues.
