Position: Early Childhood Professional Development Support Specialist Department: Early Learning | Child Care Resource & Referral Location: Tillamook Service Center Reports To: CCRR Director Compensation: Classified Salary Schedule, Range N $25.21 - $30.13 per hour; DOE FLSA: Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit: Classified, OSEA FTE: 1.0/ 220 days per year NW REGIONAL ESD'S MISSION STATEMENT: In partnership with the communities we serve, Northwest Regional ESD improves student learning by providing equitable access to high quality services and support. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for supporting early childhood professionals and increasing access to high quality, culturally responsive childcare in Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook counties. This will include coaching and mentoring to child care providers and early childhood educators; addressing professional development requirements, parent communication, business/marketing skills, and state child care regulations. Also responsible for answering questions received through the Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) phone line, responding to questions related to child care subsidies or other areas pertinent to the work of the CCR&R. The position requires working with a culturally diverse population of providers, families and employers. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
