GENERAL SUMMARY

Incumbent is responsible for operating quantitative and analytical models and applications in support of the Bank's financial risk management and operational efforts. The position will primarily assist reporting in the areas related to stress testing and the estimation of the allowance for credit loss under CECL. Additional responsibilities may include assisting in regulatory testing or developing various analytical models as directed by Senior Management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Performs quarterly allowance for credit loss calculation and other scheduled stress tests (i.e., asset quality, country risk). Suggests improvements to processes and enhancements to both qualitative and quantitative factors.
  • Conducts analysis to provide management with insights on portfolio performance and risk thresholds.
  • Regularly prepares and presents decks of model and backtesting results to Senior Management.
  • Makes constant updates to model documentation to standards consistent with regulatory expectations and internal standards.
  • Assists in validation efforts and audits of internally developed models.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience in any of the following: 1) working in the areas of statistics or economic/econometrics modeling applicable to banking or risk management; 2) manipulating and analyzing large amounts of data within various database systems; 3) statistics and model development; or 4) presenting analytical findings and methodology to both technical and non-technical parties and making business recommendations.
  • Skills/Ability: Strong analytical skills and critical thinking. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with strong attention to detail. Good general knowledge of banking products. Proficiency in SQL or Python for database management a plus. Proficiency in MS Excel.



OTHER DETAILS

$26.44 - $33.65 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
