Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Accounting Manager to support the operational aspect of the accounting department. This position provides oversight of daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks, general and sub ledgers applications, reconciliations, payroll and equity, accounts payable, operational analysis, fixed asset record keeping, and development and maintaining of internal controls. Provide supervisory leadership to the accounting team including recruitment and orientation of new staff, performance management and professional development.

What You'll Do:


  • Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, and financial report preparation.


  • Manage accounting operations including AR, AP, Payroll, Consolidations, Fixed Assets, lease accounting and GL.
  • Responsible for the accounting reconciliation process which includes maintaining the accuracy and validity of accounting reconciliations and ensuring reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Support the company's SOX compliance efforts, maintaining detailed control documentation.
  • Provide support for daily treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowings, debt, and capital management.
  • Provide coaching and guidance and development to team of direct reports.
  • Oversee and assist staff with month-end closing process and review month end reports for accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the preparation of internal and external reporting requirements, assigned analysis, and projects.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of professional accounting staff with varied experience levels.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices and contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Manager.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of five 12+ years of experience in publicly traded companies inclusive of 5+ years of prior management experience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Must have a strong knowledge of multi-ledger & multi-divisional accounting including intercompany accounting across a multitude of legal entities including multi-currency, and international transactions.
  • Experience with post-acquisition accounting, integration, reporting and controllership.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, journal entries, and fixed assets management.
  • Willingness to create business processes and assume ownership of tasks, projects, and assignments.
