About the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The Woodruff School graduates high caliber mechanical engineers for a demanding profession. Mechanical engineers are the foundation of today's technological world. To do so, we provide enhanced facilities and laboratories to create the best learning environment and we attract outstanding faculty and students. In this period of rapid technological change, the Woodruff School produces mechanical engineers who are vital to our future. With approximately 3,000 students,100 faculty members, and 70 staff members, we are one of the largest mechanical engineering programs in the country. This is a Senior Research Engineer position at Dr. Cyris Aidun's lab.

Duties for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Management, operation and maintenance of the Flow loop and the electrification drying project and other supported projects with MP Forming Platform and SE processing automation.
• Participate in projects funded by industry, state and federal governments.
• Participate in proposal preparation, reporting and publications.
• Assist in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students with their projects related to fluidics automation.
• Participate in publications and scientific meetings and other forms of scholarship.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A Masters degree in Engineering or related fields and seven (7) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, or
• A Masters degree in Engineering or related fields and nine (9) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of Bachelor's degree, or
• A Doctoral degree and four (4) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelors degree.

• At least six (6) years of relevant experience after PhD including fluidics automation systems.
• Record of relevant publications in Fluidics automation systems
• Expertise in LabView and instrumentation and microcontrollers.
