What You'll Do in This Position

Promote and demonstrate world-class safety behavior in order to create and sustain a safe working environment and lifestyle. Conduct all aspects of work safely and securely, continuously improving in pursuit of injury- and incident-free performance.
Reporting & Analysis - Create and conduct primary queries to gather necessary data to generate financial reports and analyzes.
Provide detailed and credible explanations of complex financial analyses to internal and external customers.
Prepare comprehensive accounting, cost, and financial reports and analyses utilizing various financial systems.
Generate comprehensive reports to analyze and interpret essential data and financial information.
Specify requirements for business applications, conduct feasibility and cost/benefit studies, develop and execute software acceptance testing, organize and help with project implementation.
Perform financial procedures and prepare financial reports and plans on a periodic or ad hoc basis.

Communication - Communicate effectively (both oral and written) with Finance Operations team members, internal company customer organizations, management, and external customers to resolve business pertinent issues.
Exhibit good oral and written communication skills to effectively and accurately present information and express ideas.
Display interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships through cooperation and open communication.
Maintain some involvement in the regular interface with all levels of management.
Occasionally prepare and present information with recommendations to management.

Business Acumen - Possess a limited understanding of the company business environment and the operations of the area(s) and function(s) being supported. Perform and apply financial planning and analysis techniques to retrieve data and information affirming good business practices and adherence to contract and corporate policies.
Conduct efficient audits of selected financial and accounting functions to ensure adherence to contract and corporate guidelines.
Interpret and provide advice on accounting policies and procedures; ensure compliance with established procedures; review policies for appropriateness and effectiveness and recommend changes.

Talent & Process Development - Pursue continuous learning opportunities to further develop skill base.
Identify, document, and initiate continuous improvement opportunities in general subject area.
Maintain and enhance various financial and project systems.
Assist in the training of other professionals and in guiding their efforts.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
