Associate Technical Trainer - FT - Marysville Compass Health is currently looking for an Full-time Associate Technical Trainer! SUMMARY The Associate Technical Trainer works directly with Compass Health EHR end users to explain functionality and fix problems related to data entry into the systems as back up to the Technical Trainer. This position assists with planning, organizing, developing, and implementing high quality internal trainings on our systems. Provides administrative and clerical support to the HIM Department through a variety of complex projects, management of databases and support activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Training Responsibilities
- Assists with writing and editing user manuals, workflows, and other documents designed to facilitate end-user knowledge and efficiencies.
- Assists with creating and editing training material for end user and management level staff.
- Works with the Technical Trainer to assess individual and group training needs.
- Assists the Technical Trainer with planning, preparing, and organizing trainings and learning activities. This includes training schedules, agenda, materials/manuals, workflows, facilitation, set up/breakdown equipment, applicable reports for attendance and back up facilitator to technical trainer.
- Partners with workforce members and management to communicate various policies, procedures, and other communications with follow up support to workforce members and management as needed.
- Technical Knowledge and Responsibilities
- Provides support to all EHR users via ticketing system, email and/or phone, which includes troubleshooting, data checks, and clean-up in conjunction with technical trainer.
- Requires high level of knowledge and understanding of various technology available to train in a primarily hybrid atmosphere that requires both remote and in person training depending on situation requirements.
- Demonstrates a high level of understanding of various databases including the DMS system with knowledge of the interface with the EHR, configuration, and maintenance by assisting in management of these tasks and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Maintains and updates the HIM SharePoint site with accurate information and documentation.
- Security, Privacy and Quality Assurance Requirements
- Identifies and reports possible data problems to supervisor.
- Assists with data clean-up efforts to ensure accurate and timely transmissions of required information.
- Maintains a high level of knowledge of all statutes governing the confidentiality of health care information for a behavioral health organization. State statutes include 70.02 RCW (Uniformed Health Information Act), 71.05 RCW (Mental Illness), WAC 246-341 (Behavioral Health Services).
- Performs quality reviews of electronic and paper records.
- Maintain and update various methods for tracking, sorting and compiling data.
- Responsible for running reports and data entry to identify both department and agency data.
- Administrative and General Expectations
- Responsible for understanding all department workflows and for understanding the interface between the HIM department workflows and other agency processes.
- Assists in evaluating workflows and processes for efficiencies as the department evolves and provides input and feedback about observations to the HIM Director.
- Provides support for meetings, including scheduling, providing reminders, taking minutes, etc.
- Maintain the HIM calendar with vacations, team meetings and other pertinent information.
- Provides administrative support to the HIM Director and department including but not limited to filing, faxing, and answering phones.
- Assists the department with office management tasks including requisitions of equipment and supplies, maintaining equipment contracts and scheduling maintenance and service as needed, processing requests, ordering of basic supplies as directed in a timely manner, and overall management of internal business operations
- Participates in regularly scheduled supervision and team meetings.
- Remains compliant with required trainings and certifications.
- Behaves in an ethical and professional manner consistent with agency policy, state law, and licensing entities if applicable.
- Understands and practices safekeeping of client protected health information per Compass Health's HIPAA and other agency policies and procedures.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
- High School Diploma or GED required. Degree or Certificate in related field preferred.
- Experience working with an electronic medical records system and document management system.
- 3 - 4 years total relevant experience working in either a HIM department or the healthcare industry, and in a role supporting the department through either project management, supporting department management and/or administrative duties.

- Demonstrates understanding of numerous databases and systems such as SharePoint, K-Box, ETCETERA, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and others that are used for daily work functions.

- Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to also work cooperatively with others as a productive team member.
- Successful conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build and implement efficient workflows and to evaluate established workflows as systems evolve.
- Ability to work calmly, effectively, problem solve and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced, high production, and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Excellent record keeping.
- Ability to identify and implement strategies to meet department needs.
- Critical thinking is a must.
- Strong computer proficiency, including keyboarding skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to utilize an electronic medical record for collaborative clinical documentation.
- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check.
