JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Systems (REQ# 200582441) in Seattle, Washington. Design, develop, and implement globally distributed backend services for next-gen communications system. Review service design, operations, platform infrastructure for high-availability and scalability. Analyze source code, design documents, logs, and metrics to identify and fix software bugs and performance issues. Work with Apples Cloud Infrastructure and site reliability engineering (SRE) teams to manage and run production services. Implement robust, complex application services for user-facing features leveraging next-gen communications system. Design, analyze, and implement high-concurrency systems (multithreading, multiprocessing, etc.). Debug all created systems and related software to ensure high quality and availability of the system and user features. Write and maintain design documents.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 - $250,600/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
