The Jr. Pricing Analyst is an entry level role with a mix of on-the-job training as well as continuous education and mentorship, from the Pricing Team at large, committed to the candidate's successful future at Westrock.
Job Duties:


  • Manage customer profitability reports and dashboards that show customer health indicators.
  • Own, analyze and propose updates to customer tiering ( who are top tier customers) and communicate throughout the business for reporting consistency.
  • Utilize customer dashboards and health reports to identify get well opportunities and bring those to the pricing team for discussion and implement improvement plans that ideated.
  • Evaluate service programs and financial health and purpose actions to improve customer profitability or service programs are a liability.
  • Own loaned equipment and capex reporting. Ensure customers with loaned equipment are being adequately charged for equipment and financially healthy.
  • Creates and refines complex financial information such as profit and loss, lease versus buy and cash flow modeling and spreadsheet format.
  • Create, organizes, and presents financial spreadsheet data to various levels of management.
  • Analyze the impact of price changes, recommends adjustments to price standards, and strategizes to support business objectives.
  • Gain basic understanding of inputs and pricing models for the manufacture of all packaged liquid goods.
  • Use this accounting and operational systems to identify and analyze business trends.
  • Analyze and maintains updated internal product cost information.
  • Interfaces with product development and global sourcing on new product cost.
  • Interfaces with sales personnel to assess historical and projected customer profitability.
  • Develops and maintains both financial models and financial forecast for management.
  • Serves as resource for sales personnel on product cost.
  • Maintenance of customer specific pricing data.
  • Maintenance of documentation for SOX compliance for pricing controls.
  • Distribution and maintenance of customer specific pricing data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate degree and experience an accounting, finance, data analytics or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce high quality products within time constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The ability to sanity-check analytical results is key.
  • Able to follow instructions without repetition.
  • Self starter, able to define and achieve goals without direct supervision
  • Able to extract core concepts from complex issues, similar to solving a word problem.
  • Strong desire and work ethic to learn and understand the fundamentals as a foundation for career growth.
  • Familiarity with fluid and solid unit conversion between standards is preferred but not required.
  • High to advanced Excel skills required.
