About the Role:
Fermilab' Facilities Engineering Services Section seeks Seasonal On-Call Groundskeeper to join the Grounds Maintenance Group in the Roads & Grounds Department. Under direct supervision, you will perform tasks to maintain Fermilab site roads, grounds, and related facilities.

What your day-to-day as a Seasonal On-Call Groundskeeper at Fermilab will look like:
* Performs landscape maintenance activities including, trimming, pruning, and snow removal.
* Maintains and cleans the underground stormwater drainage systems, Perform heavy physical labor.
* May be required to work mandatory overtime. No guaranteed minimum hours. May be required to work any time between the hours of 4am and 10pm.

Skills and Attributes for Success:
* A candidate 18 years of age with a valid state issued driver's license
* Ability to lift 50 lbs.
* A High School diploma or equivalent
* 2 or more years of groundskeeping experience
* Previous experience in landscape construction and maintenance, or heavy equipment operations and maintenance, is desirable.
* Previous experience in snow removal operations; Must be available to respond promptly to snow removal at all hours.
* Basic computer skills (MS Office).
* Ability to work independently and harmoniously in a group setting.
* Ability to abide by all environment, safety and health regulations.
* Willingness to respect, understand and value individual differences that embody laboratory principles of diversity and inclusion.

Work Arrangement:
Please note that the described work arrangement is subject to change based on business needs and is not guaranteed to be final.
* Onsite: This is an onsite role, and the candidate must be able to work from our Batavia office.
